Washington DC stars in Ben Stiller’s Night at the Museum film sequel

Washington, DC is the star this summer movie release of “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian”, the action-packed sequel to the 2006 hit starring Ben Stiller.
In the film, history comes to life as night guard-turned inventor Larry (Ben Stiller) teams up with plucky Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) to do battle with evil pharaoh Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria) and his band of historic villains.
At stake is an ancient Egyptian tablet that will unlock the Underworld and turn Kahmunrah into an all-powerful ruler. Larry has just one night to save his friends – and the world – in an exciting battle that takes him to some of DC’s most popular museums, monuments and memorials.

National Museum of American History – Some of the museums most prized processions make an appearance in the film including Dorothy’s ruby red slippers, Muhammad Ali’s boxing gloves, the Star Wars droids and Kermit the Frog. www.americanhistory.si.edu

National Air and Space Museum – This museum plays a starring role in the film where Larry meets crucial characters like Amelia Earhart, his sidekick.
