Prince Harrys sponsored dance in Barbados supports Haiti earthquake victims
He's shown a compassion and sense of fun that would have made his mother proud. Certainly Prince Harry revealed plenty of Diana's spirit by raising funds for Haiti with a sponsored dance performance.
The unexpected dancing came during Harry's official trip Barbados in which he performed the Calypso on stage to live music. His gesture aimed to boost the total raised at a Haiti benefit concert in the grounds of Farley Hill national park.
The 25-year-old prince offered to dance for the audience if they donated 5,000 Barbados dollars - £1,560 - in 25 minutes. Harry duly stepped out of his VIP seat to take to the stage. It is not known how much money was raised in that time but it's understood the spirited royal made a personal donation to support victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Harry also launched a fundraising polo match in aid of the charity Sentebale which helps impoverished African children in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
