He was trapped in a building which collapsed killing two people, but five weeks after the tragedy a cat has been found alive and well beneath the rubble.
The survivor, named Felix, was found alive and well within the remains of the six-storey building in Cologne, Germany, that collapsed five weeks ago.
Rescue workers were clearing away the rubble from the city archives building that collapsed on March 3, when they spotted a pair of small paws.
Remarkably, the 12-year-old cat was in good health. Fire brigade spokesman Dietmar Paust said: "The men lifted some concrete blocks when suddenly a little cat came to light."
