America’s most popular Dad is to star on TomTom sat nav devices.

TomTom has joined forces with Locutio Voice Technologies and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising (Fox L&M), to bring the original voice of Homer Simpson to TomTom sat nav devices for the very first time.

Homer's humorous, encouraging and unusual advice will guarantee a light-hearted driving experience on the road.

Users are expected to hear unpredictable and comical command such as, “Take the third right. We might find an ice cream truck! Mmm…ice cream.”

Damian Woodward from TomTom UK & Ireland said that users would not only travel safely, but also with less stress.

Homer Simpson is a lovable but buffoonish cartoon character created by Matt Groening and originally voiced by actor Dan Castellaneta.

The Simpsons will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2010.
