Ski resorts across Europe have been blessed with more heavy snow after a relatively cold, dry spell over the past few weeks.

Heavy snow started falling on Sunday and it is forecast to continue until later this week with many resorts expecting over a metre of fresh snow.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain’s daily snow reports, up to 30cm of snow has fallen in Verbier and 35cm in Zermatt.

The French resorts are also fairing well with 20cm falling in the last 24 hours in Avoriaz and Tignes. Cortina in Italy has had over 30cm of snow since Sunday and Courmayeur over 40cm.

Across the Alps the snow looks set to fall heavily until Wednesday night and then will restart again before the weekend.
