Couple celebrate eighty one years of happy marriage

After more than eighty years of marriage they've shown that true love can last. Britain's longest living married couple have celebrated their 81st wedding anniversary.

Congratulations indeed to Frank and Anita Milford, who met at a YMCA dance in 1926 and exchanged vows way back on 26th May 1928.

Aged 100 and 101 respectively Frank and Anita remain inseparable at a nursing home in Plymouth, Devon, The happy couple maintain there is no secret recipe for a good marriage - they confess they still have little arguments, but always kiss and make-up before turning in for the night.

The Milfords lived in Plymouth throughout the Second World War and the Blitz - and twice had narrow escapes from bombs. One even fell on their house, but survive they did.

Eighty one years of married bliss later, Frank and Anita can celebrate their anniversary with two children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
