Dog rescues an abandoned baby in Argentina and places him safely with her puppies

She did what any good mother would do - ensuring that a baby was safe from harm. 

But the heroine of this tale from Argentina was a dog and the child she rescued and placed alongside her puppies, a  baby boy abandoned shortly after birth.

This extraordinary story with a bizarre, but very happy ending has touched the hearts of Argentines and the country's excited media are calling the rescued child 'the miracle baby'.

The prematurely born infant had been abandoned by his frightened 14-year-old mother in a shanty town outside the capital, Buenos Aires. She left him in a field, surrounded by wooden boxes and rubbish.

Thankfully, along came La China - the caring dog who picked up the baby and carried him 50 metres before placing him alongside her own puppies.

This story tells about the Argentinean mother's inhuman and cold heart, who abandoned her helpless baby in July, the coldest month of the winter season in Argentina. I feel no compassion for this woman who has no excuses for what she did. If she was mature enough to have sex she should have taken responsibility of her acts. At least take the baby to someone who could look after him, a hospital for example. On the other hand, the dog's heart full of love and emotion, caring for a baby no matter the species, shows much more humanity and common sense. Dogs are also victims of the same luck the baby had. Countless dogs are abandoned in Argentina to their luck. No animal species abandon its cubs. Only humans do in certain countries, as we see. Which comes to show some of the Argentine values. People in Argentina seem to care more for trivial things that for what it really matters. A shame for the humankind.
