Clothes Aid - NSPCC Great British Clothes Clearout to end child cruelty
Fashion designer Jeff Banks has called on the nation to join the NSPCC Great British Clothes Clearout and donate their unwanted clothes to raise £2m for the NSPCC by 2012.
Clearing out his own warehouse to launch the clothes clearout, he donated over 1,000 garments from his many design collections.
Speaking about the clearout, he said:"I think clothes are there to be worn, not hidden away in your wardrobe! So I want everyone to join the NSPCC's Great British Clothes Clearout to help prevent cruelty to children."
The NSPCC is inspired by a belief that it can make a difference for all children – by standing up for their rights, by listening to them, by helping them when they need help and by making them safe. Its vision is ending cruelty to children in the UK. It believes cruelty is preventable and that through having an inspirational vision it will achieve much greater success for children.
