X Factor finalist Sophie Habibis pays surprise visit to Action For Kids Christmas Party
She may not have won the X Factor, but finalist, Sophie Habibis showed she had kindness as well as talent aplenty, when she played a surprise visit to the Action For Kids Christmas party.
Action For Kids is dedicated to helping transform the lives of children and young people with physical and learning disabilities across the country by removing barriers to independence.
Sophie met with Action For Kids students and their families as well as some of the children and young people the charity has helped over the years and entertained guests with a soulful rendition of classic Christmas carols.
She sang with the youngsters at the party at North Middlesex Cricket Club, in Crouch End and posed for photographs before the Action For Kids students performed a Bollywood dance extravaganza, and members of staff put on a secretly rehearsed concert of pop classics.
"It was a fantastic event," said Sally Bishop, Founder of Action For Kids. "A lot of our students and the young people we work with just love the X Factor and they were thrilled to meet Sophie in person and be able to sing a few Christmas carols with her. It really did get us all into the festive spirit. Sophie created a storm of excitement and joy at the event and helped to make it a night to remember for so many deserving young people affected by disability. We cannot thank her enough."
The charity's latest appeal is ‘12 Trikes for Christmas' - Action For Kids aims to purchase and deliver new tricycles for twelve children with varying special needs and disabilities in time for them to open on Christmas morning.
