Joy Home for Children - Orphanage based in Hyderabad, India

Last updated 9/28/2009 12:07:06 PM

Offering a home for Orphan Children, eliminating the feeling of loneliness and desertion, providing these children with a safe and secure family environment.

100% of Donations is spent on/for the Orphan Children - No Wages - No Admin - No Marketing Expense!

We have a needs list on our website which shows you where funds are needed and who is supporting them.

Currently there are 20 children in our home. These children have been brought into the Orphanage either by the charity or members of the public over a period of 5 years. Each child has been registered with the local authorities and is listed to be in the care of ‘Joy Home for Children'.

We register the children into a local school, provide food and health care, training and development skills to ensure that they are able to become independent in the future.

I love this charity as all the money and help is going where it is needed the most. Joy Home is very unique as it is a non-profitable chaity and that the help is going to where its needed the most - the children. Children should not have to suffer or be unhappy. They should be able to be children and live life like other children do. Joy Home is an organisation that is trying to make this possible for the children in their care. Please take a few minutes and make a donation. Give the children the life they deserve!

I would give my vote to Joy HOme for Children any day as it is a unique charity which ensures that EVERY PENNY OF OUR DONATION IS SPENT ON THE CHILDREN!!! which is very rare to see for a charitible organisation. This charity has some very unique and innovative ideas such as allowing the children to choose their sponsors as part of the Child Sponsorship Scheme. There is also a needs list that focus the attention of donators to specific urgent and long term needs of the charity. This showas to me that Raj has a very clear focus and vision of what he would like to achieve for these children. I would vote for Joy Home for Children any day as it provide food, shelter, education and a safe environment for these children!! At the same time taking no admin fees for ensuring all our money goes to the children!! What else could you ask for when choosing the Optimist Charity of the Year as Joy Home for Children is the one in my opinion!!! Well done Raj & Good Luck in making this very successful as this charity has lots of potential!!!!!! If you need any help I am always willing to help!

When donating to children's charities, you always wander how much of your £1 is actually going to the child. How much is being paid to fund the TV ad Campaign and how much goes into salaries. With Joy Home its is totally clear. All of the donation is for the child! You get my vote!

This charity is a passion of Raj Gosai. I was there in India when we was traveling back and forth between Hyderabad and Goa researching other charities, meeting and talking with volunteers, staff and the children. He is a truly dedicated individual with a passion for helping others. I hope to volunteer for Joy Home for Children someday and gladly throw my support behind Raj's efforts.

These children need as much support as possible and, as the statement before this says, the monies all go to the kids, not administration. My vote goes to them :0) x

I like the child sponsorship scheme offered by Joy Home. In a reverse of roles sponsors would not be able to choose a child. Each child is to select his/her sponsor from the list of registered persons. Now that is a first!!
