Tree of Life for Animals - Rescuing and treating animals in India
Last updated 26/08/2008 13:33:32
When the Tree of Life for Animals (TOLFA) was set up in 2005 we had little idea just how much of a difference we would go on to make, not just with animals but by improving the lives of the local people.
By fighting to eradicate Rabies we are improving the health of locals and their families.
We also provide much needed employment and animal welfare education in schools.
We have also touched the hearts of the many volunteers that have passed through our doors. They have been given a view of the real India and what can be achieved with hard work, compassion and dedication.
We currently treat upwards of 200 animals a day. Our patients come in an assortment of shapes, sizes and species ranging from dogs, cats and cows to goats, monkeys, water buffalo, camels and peacocks, ensuring that every day is different.
