With Britain blanketed in snow, Scottish and English ski resorts are having a bumper season.

Resorts such as Weardale in Northumberland, have some of the best conditions for skiing and snowboarding in years. Seen here are snapshots from ldmountaincentre.com, who report that business is booming at their Newcastle shop.

Scenes at Weardale, Northumberland and could well be mistaken for the Alps. Weardale Ski Club operate two rope tows for transporting skiers and boarders up the slopes and even have a two storey ski lodge.

The Ski Club of Great Britain have daily snow reports on their website skiclub.co.uk, including reports on the Scottish snow conditions. This season fantastic snow conditions dominate across the Alps.
