model is NOT the real wife ;-)

You can express love in many ways - and a farmer from Iowa has found his way of declaring his love for his wife, using over 50 tonnes of manure to write his wife a birthday message.

Dick Kleis used his trusty manure spreader to spell out the phrase "HAP B DAY LUV U" to be seen from the living room of his home in Zwingle home.

Dick explained: "Someone said 'Do something you're good at', so I made a card with my 'pen'. I've just run out of stuff to do for her birthday. I was going to put a heart out there after the happy birthday, but I ran out of manure."

His wife Carole also enjoyed a more traditional birthday treat of a film and dinner out. "He's done weird things before for birthdays," she said. Now Carole's planning how to mark Dick's birthday, but has six months to think about it.
