Prince William surprise visit to 109-year-old great grandmother
It's not often that a real-life prince turns up on your doorstep, but that's exactly what happened after a 109-year-old woman wrote to the Queen to complain about the birthday cards she received.
None other than Prince William dropped in to apologise to Catherine Masters from Oxfordshire after she pointed out that the Queen was wearing the same outfit in each of the five congratulatory cards she had received on her special birthdays.
The royal visitor chatted with Catherine over tea at her nursing home and assured her his grandmother would change outfits this year.
A surprise phone call to the home was followed by Prince Williams' visit within five minutes - leaving the great-grandmother speechless. When she finally found her voice she asked if he was real and squeezed his hand to check.
And when they talked about his passion for cooking, the prince told her he liked making shepherd's pie. He said he used a masher to mash the potatoes, but she told him he was doing it wrong - he should use a fork to fluff the potatoes.
It won't be Catherine's only brush with royalty - she's now been invited to a garden party with the Queen at Buckingham Palace in July.
