Parc Matisse today
Development work of France’s first ‘eco-quarter’, Parc Matisse, has started.
The Parc, located in Grand Quevilly, a suburb of the city of Rouen in north-western France, is being developed by Nexity-Foncier Conseil, part of a subsidiary of the French savings bank group Groupe Caisse d'Epargne.
The eco-quarter has been specifically designed to meet three sustainable development objectives: social (greater socio-economic, cultural and generational mix), economic (local services and shopping facilities) and environmental (close management of energy use, water consumption, waste disposal, the use of eco-friendly means of transport, etc.).
Ultimately, the area will include a total of 760 housing units.
