Green Awards Winners 2009
The winners of Green Awards 2009 were named to celebrate the work of those who are already building that better, more sustainable world that is emerging from the chaos", according to Jonathan Porritt CBE, programme director Forum for the Future and chairman of the UK Sustainable Development Commission.
The Awards held at the monumental 18th century church LSO St. Luke's highlighted the crucial role that is played by communicating green issues, products and lifestyle choices through examples of best practice and effectiveness.
Entries were received from individuals to companies great and small and from all corners of the world. The Judging panel included:
The ‘Grand Prix' award was won by Keep Britain Tidy for its ‘Food on the Go' campaign which the judging panel felt "best exemplified an outstanding environmental message, and was thought to have had the greatest sustainable impact".

International Fund for Animal Welfare for the Turtle Beach Event
Waste Aware Scotland for its recycling campaign to reuse, reduce and recycle
Best Green Audio-Visual Campaign:
Lancashire County Council, Blackpool Council and Global Renewables for its education film ‘Adventures on the Environmental Journey'
Best Green Charity/ Social Enterprise:
Keep Britain Tidy for its ‘Food on the Go' campaign
Best Green Campaigner:
No overall winner, Car Free Walks was commended
Best Green Integrated Campaign:
The Co-operative for it's ‘Good for Everyone campaign
Best Green CSR Report:
Aster Group for ‘Foundations for our Future'
Best Green Direct Mail:
South Oxfordshire District Council for its waste collection service
Best Green Event:
Belfast City Council for its ‘Stitch and Style' event
Best Green Internal Communications:
EHS Brann for its Greenius Campaign
Best Green International Campaign:
Acne Advertising (Sweden) for its '50 cars or 1 coach' message.
