All right! More left handed drivers pass their driving tests first time

If you're left handed and have ever felt out on a limb in this right-handed world of ours - then here's some good news to cheer you! Left-handed drivers are apparently more successful at learning to drive than right handers.

This may not be such inspiring news for the right handed of us - but credit where credit's due.

As many as 57% of left-handers pass their driving test first time compared with only 47% of right-handers, a poll for the AA Driving School found.

The survey also showed that only 5% of left-handers reckoned they were at a disadvantage in learning to drive, although 27% believed cars were designed with right-handers in mind.

It's been timed to coincide with International Left-Handers Day, with August 13 as a day to celebrate left-handedness. And it seems that left hand drivers have already made their mark on the world.
